March 28, 2005

Dear Diana,
Now I'm excited about testing day. It seems like there's always something fun going on. Of course, there's my concert tomorrow, and my opera in May, and I'm counting the days till summer (my orchestra will stop, what a break). Dad and X-dude got all their stripes today, so we* will too. The instructors don't want any of us to get belts ahead, so they make me and Talia wait two months so the boys can catch up. I can't wait until the concert. It's probably about sixteen hours to wait (I don't know though), and then there's additional tuning to reconsider. I made a great twist tie and marker poom belt for Elektra (my yarn doll, my favorite one), but it got my hands all inky. I washed as much as I could off, but some still shows. I hope no one sees. When we were in Oceanside, I clipped my toenail too short, and now it hurts. Major blow-out owie. Here's a theological question, Di. Would you rather go to the bad place, or wait till end times, or die and go to heaven? Definitely not the first option, at least. Well, which of the remaining two would you rather do? I haven't decided. Unpleasant as it would be to die, I don't know if it would be worse to face the antichrist. I haven't decided, and I won't ask Xander. Talia is too young to understand, and Anselm is entirely out of the question. Mom might be okay, if I could only find a place to work it in. Dad, no! Right now, he's lost his nunchucks, and is walking around saying, "Who took my nunchucks? Where are they?" Well...
Today is Dad's birthday. I don't know what to give him, though. Yesterday was Easter. It was pretty nice. Dad got sick. Xander did not get candy-head (a name I made up for the sugar coma one gets after eating too much candy), but he coughed terribly. Are there one or two r's in "terribly"? Anselm and Talia are asleep on the floor. Well, at least Talia is. I'm mortified. I wrote "Kitty's Journal" on the back of my book. I can't erase it, but I wrote it very light. Still, what if someone sees?
