Dear Beth,
Today is the only day for a long time the day it is sunny! I love it! Almost nothing to write, but a few nights ago, we all went to a children's opera, and the plot was: Well, there was this brave princess and this shy prince, and he was going to be king, but the Pletilpletonary or T.P. for short– was king and didn't want to leave, so he did lots of evil plans, and said he would marry the princess. But she said she would marry the man who beat her in a duel, but he did with a magic sword, and the fairy godmother changed him into a woman, and so the prince was king, but I secretly admire the princess, and how can I tell? I want to be like her when I grow up– feisty, smart, brave, and strong, yet gentle and kind, unselfish, and lovely. By the way, we might go to chess club. Goodbye, Elizabeth.
Love, Maria
P.S. There were mostly students at the children's opera for children! That's mean!
